Another common type of switch found in spa is the single pole double throw (spdt) switch. This switch allows for two separate paths for the electricity to flow. The spdt switch provides the basis for the relay necessary to run spa systems. Air activated
relays often use spdt switches. Most of the portable spa utilise two-speed pump motor. This motor runs in either high speed or in low speed but not both.
